NLRB "Notification of Rights" need not be posted

The NLRB’s “Notification of Employee Rights” posting rule compliance date of April 30 is no longer in effect due to an injunction ordered by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.

The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals has scheduled oral argument on this matter for September 2012. A decision will be issued after that date. The Notice need not be posted unless the court upholds the posting requirements.

Reminder for Out-of-State Employers with Employees Working in Massachusetts.

Employers with offices outside the Commonwealth of Massachusetts with workers in the state must provide workers’ compensation coverage for all their employees in the Commonwealth. Review your Worker's Compensation policies to insure that Massachusetts coverage is listed. The Massachusetts Division of Industrial Accidents may require employers to verify compliance with this rule, on Massachusetts “Form 154”. Failure to have such coverage may result in financial penalties and debarment from public construction.
